Asus ExpertBook P1 (2025) review: Built for adults

The ASUS ExpertBook P1 is a professional business laptop with a clean design, powerful performance, and enterprise-grade features. It's designed for work, not play—but in the competitive market of 2025, it'll face some tough competition.ASUS ExpertBook P1 Laptop Batterywith its 3-cell 50WH battery and 65W USB-C charger, is a laptop perfect for office meetings. It's clearly built for business professionals—simplistic, practical, and with a touch of "enterprise" seriousness. Like most business laptops, it has the essential features, but also makes some surprising choices in the base configuration.
Keyboard and TouchpadThe ExpertBook P1's keyboard is just okay at best. It features chiclet keys, no number pad, and is backlit. The keys have 1.35mm of travel, but the feel is a bit soft and lacks tactile quality. ASUS keyboards are always excellent, so this one is a bit disappointing. However, the fact that it's spill-resistant is a plus.
But when I did need to charge, the included 65W USB-C charger charged surprisingly quickly. The laptop went from 0 to 100% in less than an hour, which is pretty consistent.
Webcam and SpeakersSpeaking of webcams, the ExpertBook P1 comes with a 720p webcam, which, honestly, feels a bit outdated in 2025.

ASUS ExpertBook P1 Laptop Batterylife is another key factor for a business laptop. The ExpertBook P1 once again earns a good rating thanks to its 50Wh, 3-cell battery. I could easily get through a full day without needing to recharge.

It's barely adequate for Zoom or Teams calls, but only in good lighting. The picture quality is soft, details are blurry, and low-light conditions are abysmal.
As for the speakers, they're bottom-firing and hidden on the sides. They're adequate for everyday video calls or quick YouTube breaks, but don't expect much beyond that.
The volume isn't loud, and there's little to no distinction between vocals and background noise. Asus claims they use Dirac tuning, but to me, the sound quality was average at best. It's fine for work, but not ideal for listening to music or watching movies.

High Capacity: ExpertBook P1 models typically feature high-capacity
ASUS ExpertBook P1 Laptop BatteryCommon configurations include 3-cell or 4-cell 50Wh or 57Wh lithium-ion batteries. Some larger 15- and 16-inch models may feature even larger batteries.
Long-Lasting Design: This capacity is designed to last a full workday on a single charge.

ASUS ExpertBook P1 Laptop Battery LifeManufacturer's Statement: ASUS typically advertises battery life based on standardized tests such as the MobileMark 2014 benchmark. Typically, battery life of 10-12 hours is achieved using standard productivity tasks (web browsing, word processing, video playback).

Asus now offers AI ExpertMeet, a software that's truly useful. It can translate in real time during meetings and even provide full transcripts after identifying different speakers. It can also generate meeting minutes, create an agenda, and generate notes based on the discussion.
The Asus ExpertBook P1 perfectly meets the needs of business users—a clean design, a practical layout, and simple operation. Its durable build, excellent performance for everyday tasks, and a wealth of interfaces should satisfy most professionals.
