Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra review: Good, but not everything

Xiaomi couldn’t have taken a better swipe at the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. From its premium ceramic design, excellent display, fasterXiaomi Mi 11 Ultra Smartphone Battery charging speeds, to its powerful camera capable of up to 120x zoom, the Mi 11 Ultra is Samsung’s top flagship for 2021, and it seems specifically targeted at everything that makes the Galaxy S21 Ultra so great. The front is a huge 6.8-inch quad-curved display. As a result, using gesture navigation feels particularly smooth: swiping from the sides, top, or bottom of the phone won’t be interrupted by sharp edges or anything else.
The Mi 11 Ultra has a large 6.81-inch display that’s a joy to look at and use. It’s an OLED panel that uses some software tricks to achieve 10-bit color depth, but what’s more impressive is its excellent display. Viewing angles, color reproduction, and especially maximum brightness are all praiseworthy, although it’s worth noting that the color temperature of the default screen mode is close to 7500K, which is a bit cold. That said, Xiaomi claims the Mi 11 Ultra can hit a maximum brightness of 1,700 nits in a dedicated “Sunlight Mode,” but we managed to hit over 800 nits in everyday scenarios.The display supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate as well as a traditional 60Hz mode, but more impressively, the Mi 11 Ultra supports high refresh rates at up to QHD+ resolution, similar to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Running QHD+ at 120Hz is an absolute visual feast, though it does take a toll on theXiaomi Mi 11 Ultra batterylife. In terms of overall performance, this phone is as fast as any other flagship available today. Everything on the Mi 11 Ultra runs incredibly fast, and I find it hard to believe anyone would experience lag or slowness in apps, games, or the interface itself.

Samsung successfully demonstrated a proof of concept of how NVIDIA’s accelerated computing can be seamlessly integrated into software-based networks to help enhance AI capabilities.

Building on this, Samsung can integrate its vRAN (virtual distributed unit, vDU) with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing into commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) servers with Samsung vRAN software installed, enabling seamless delivery of AI-RAN.
In addition, the two companies will continue to explore the best combination of AI-RAN solutions, leveraging Samsung vRAN with NVIDIA Grace CPU and/or GPU-based AI platforms using Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) technology. At MWC 2025, Samsung demonstrated its leadership in AI-For-RAN innovation with two AI-RAN demonstrations. M4 MacBook Air vs. M3 MacBook Air: Design and DisplayBoth the 13-inch and 15-inch M4 models look identical to their M3-based predecessors, but that’s not really a problem, as the MacBook Air is still one of the most beautiful laptops around. The main difference between the two laptops is the chipset that powers them. The latest Air is powered by Apple’s M4 chipset, which debuted last spring with the 2024 iPad Pro, while the M3 models are powered by a slightly older (but still pretty impressive) processor.
Apple says the 10-core CPU (two more cores than the 8-core M3) is twice as fast as the M1 MacBook Air, but the difference between the M4 and M3 won’t be that big. There are smaller upgrades to the camera. The M3 MacBook Air had a 1080p camera, while the new model has a 12-megapixel sensor and adds Center Stage technology.

Apple didn’t reveal the MacBook Air M4 Laptop Battery  capacity of the MacBook Air M4 laptop, so we’ll have to wait for the first M4 MacBook Air teardowns to know the exact number, but the company says both sizes will last up to 18 hours on a single charge.
That’s the same as Apple promised for the M3 models, so don’t expect much to change on that front despite the improved efficiency of the M4 chipset.
M4 MacBook Air vs. M3 MacBook Air: ComparisonThe M4 MacBook Air looks to be another premium laptop from Apple, with a host of substantial improvements. The speed of the M4 chipset, the addition of the Center Stage, and the ability to use three screens simultaneously are all extremely welcome — though not as welcome as the $100 price cut.
While it may not be worth it for users upgrading from last year’s model, owners of the M2 MacBook Air or earlier will be very tempted.
