The Pixel 9 Pro battery life is really, really good

I’m not too concerned about the battery life of this phone, but I wouldn’t put it at the top of our smartphone battery rankings. For the Pixel 9 Pro, we don’t have a phone to compare it to. But to me, 4,700 mAh is pretty high for a phone of this size.google Pixel 9 Pro Battery40% battery, 4 hours of screen time. I’ve been using the Pixel 9 Pro XL for a few days, and the battery is not draining fast enough. Then I got my Pixel 9 Pro review unit and started using it seriously. After the first charge, I was able to see the screen for 3.5 hours and went to bed with 21% battery remaining.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL maxes out at 27.2W, which isn’t particularly fast, but it’s not particularly slow either. If you really need more power, a 45W charger might be worth considering, assuming it can deliver that much power. I have some very powerful chargers, but this phone doesn’t reach that level.

Of course, both devices support wireless charging, and Google’s charging technology is smart enough to keep the devices charged all night until you wake up. The next morning, they were fully charged again, and the battery was not damaged.

So the battery of the Google Pixel phone is definitely a highlight of the Pixel 9 Pro phone and the Pixel 9 Pro XL battery . I think advanced users will find both devices more than enough for their daily lives. For small phone lovers like me, we have found a new best friend.

It also disables Wi-Fi and cellular connections as well as incoming calls and notifications if your paired iPhone is out of range. Finally, Low Power Mode reduces updates to watch face complications such as weather.

Global education must incorporate artificial intelligence and be people-centered

Director-General Audrey Azoulay called for greater investment in teacher and student training so that funds can be used responsibly.

“AI offers major opportunities, provided that its deployment in schools is guided by clear ethical principles. To realize its full potential, this technology must complement the human and social dimensions of learning, not replace them,” said Mr. Azoulay.

Human rights at the heart of AI

This year’s AI Day reminds us that unlocking the potential of AI “depends on putting human agency and human rights at the heart of this rapidly evolving technology,” the UN Secretary-General stressed, calling for guarantees that all users have the right tools and knowledge to “use this technology wisely, safely and ethically.”

UNESCO’s competency framework aims to support learners and teachers in integrating AI into their learning, while the recently adopted Global Digital Compact is expected to help ensure that humans retain control over AI development and governance.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Guterres called for a commitment to “put the humanities at the heart of education systems around the world.”

Divided views onAI

As AI is increasingly integrated into education, countries remain divided over its use. According to the latest data from UNESCO, more than two-thirds of secondary school students in high-income countries are already using generative AI tools to support their learning.

However, education professionals still face significant challenges and a lack of clear guidelines.

In May 2023, a UNESCO survey of 450 educational institutions showed that only 10% of schools and universities had an official framework for the use of AI

Meanwhile, more countries are imposing restrictions on new technologies in the classroom. The latest data from UNESCO shows that nearly 40% of countries now have laws or policies prohibiting the use of mobile phones in schools, a significant increase from 24% in July 2023.

The Asus ProArt StudioBook One resembles a classic mobile workstation, but its unique design makes it stand out: The processor sits behind the 4K display, not in the chassis below the keyboard. It offers up to 300W of cooling power (just enough to match the power of the included power adapter). The ProArt’s uniquely designed keyboard stays cool and comfortable to hold. This design also gives the ProArt a top-heavy, professional look, but that’s only half the story. The ProArt’s lower half is very slim, with a spacious keyboard and extra-large trackpad. slightly larger than the average mobile workstation’s battery, but 10% less than the legal maximum flight capacity. The large battery is necessary because the ProArt has to accommodate its powerful graphics card without depleting its joule reserves too quickly. Its performance is quite good, but only because the Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card is severely limited when the ProArt is powered off. For example, a GPU Blender render takes about 37 seconds when powered off, but takes nearly two minutes when powered on (with the power mode set to best performance). Acer ConceptD 7 Pro: A heavy-duty laptop for heavy-duty applications

We reviewed the ConceptD 7 Pro with NVIDIA RTX 5000 graphics. We got our hands on the Acer ConceptD 7 Pro to see how it performs as a mobile workstation for engineers.
The Acer ConceptD 7 Pro is a striking laptop, unless you happen to be caught in a snowstorm. Its aluminum body is covered in a bone-white ceramic coating that’s reminiscent of the iBook from 2004.Acer ConceptD 7 Pro Laptop Batterylife is decent, but still far behind other mobile workstations we’ve reviewed. The computer is equipped with a 4-cell 5550mAh battery. In our high-performance test, running the SPECviewperf 13 benchmark at maximum brightness, the Acer laptop lasted 95 minutes (1.6 hours) without being plugged inAcer ConceptD 7 Pro Laptop Battery In our performance test, where we set the power settings to maximum efficiency and looped a video in airplane mode, the Acer ran out of juice after 396 minutes (6.6 hours). Finally, in our typical usage test, which combines default power settings, standard office applications, and some light design work, the Acer ConceptD 7 Pro Laptop Batterylasted 209 minutes (3.5 hours).
Acer claims the ConceptD 7 Pro’s display can reach up to 400 nits of brightness, but our testing showed it to be just 267.8 nits at 100 percent brightness, with a contrast ratio of 930:1. Still, the screen is quite bright in my opinion (only the harsh white chassis belies its brightness). The Acer ConceptD 7 Pro is one of the most powerful mobile workstations we’ve reviewed to date. If you’re looking for a device that can quickly run graphics-intensive applications on the go, the ConceptD is a good choice, and it’s relatively affordable.

Surface Book 3: A great laptop, but it’s no workstation

Now in its third generation, the Surface Book remains the king of the Surface family.
The Surface Book 3 feels like a regular laptop, but don’t be misled. The Surface Book features a detachable display that’s easily removed via a stylish curved hinge. It can be used as a standalone tablet, or flipped and reattached for other configurations.Surface Book 3 Laptop Battery Life
The battery capacity is 82.7 Wh (59.9 Wh for the base model, 22.8 Wh for the display model), which is average for a mobile workstation. However,

The actual battery life is slightly below average. We managed to get 1 hour and 24 minutes under full load on the Surface Book 3 (full brightness, forced discrete graphics, performance mode on, running the SPECviewperf 13 test). Finally, in the typical use test (screen brightness at about 60%, running a lot of Chrome and Office windows, using a few Fusion 360 programs, and using the recommended power mode), the Surface Book 3 lasted 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Interestingly, in the latter two tests, both batteries were active until the clipboard battery reached 79% and there was no pause. It restarted when the base battery reached 40%. In the high performance test, the clipboard battery was dormant from the beginning (probably due to the power profile), but it also started when the base battery reached 40%. It seems that the Surface Book 3 will try its best to save the clipboardMicrosoft Surface Book 3 Laptop Batteryso that it can be used when needed.


New features of Surface Book 3
Surface Book 3 is available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch sizes. Although the Surface Book 3 is equipped with Intel’s 10th generation processors, its CPU options are disappointing. Even the more powerful Core i7-1065G7 only has a 4-core 15W processor, which contradicts Microsoft’s “powerful performance” propaganda. However, the Surface Book 3 does have twice the memory and storage space of the Book 2 (up to 32GB of memory, compared to 16GB of Book 2; up to 2TB of storage space, compared to 1TB of Book 2).


Components in the base of the Surface Book 3 have been missing more than once, including the Quadro RTX 3000 and the Microsoft Surface Book 3 Laptop BatteryI had to remove and reinstall the clipboard repeatedly, sometimes even multiple times, before the system recognized them again.
