According to the new report, the phone retains the same 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Brightness has been improved, with high brightness mode increasing from 1800 nits to 2000 nits and peak brightness increasing from 2700 nits to 3000 nits. The Pixel 10 is equipped with a new Tensor G5 chip, which is manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process. It comes with 12GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. The camera configuration has changed. The main sensor is 48 megapixels, most likely the same 1/2.0-inch sensor used in the Pixel 9a. The ultra-wide-angle camera drops to 12 megapixels from last year’s 48 megapixels. A new 10.8-megapixel 5x telephoto lens is added, the same as used in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
All Pixel 10 phones (both base and Pro) have brighter screens than the Pixel 9 series. The base model still doesn’t support adaptive refresh rates. Only the Pro and Pro XL models will be equipped with high-speed backlight modulation (PWM) to reduce eye fatigue.
As previously reported, the Pixel 10 will once again do away with the vapor chamber cooling system, which is currently limited to the Pro models. This may affect thermal performance.
