The Xiaomi Mi 15 is set to compete with the likes of the Galaxy S25. The company’s latest offering boasts a lightweight design, a powerful chipset, and excellent cameras. How did it perform during our review?

Xiaomi’s design is simple and straightforward, nothing out of the ordinary. The back panel remained free of smudges and scratches during our review. The aluminum frame curves similarly to the glass, not the other way around, making the phone comfortable to hold. Like last year’s model, the Mi 15 is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.The screen features a 6.36-inch, high-resolution CrystalRes AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s drop-resistant thanks to the Mi Shield Glass, which Xiaomi claims is tougher than standard glass panels. Screen brightness has improved since last year, reaching a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, covering 25% of the display area.

Complementing the screen are a pair of reasonably loud stereo speakers with just the right amount of bass. It also features an infrared blaster for conveniently controlling other devices. The fingerprint sensor uses ultrasonic rather than optical technology for faster response. The Xiaomi Mi 15 runs the new HyperOS 2 interface based on Android 15. Compared to its predecessor, it boasts refined aesthetics and under-the-hood optimizations. It also includes the full-featured Google Assistant and the useful “Circle Search” feature.
AI is also built in. For example, the Notes app incorporates a range of AI-powered features for text transformation, including summarization, proofreading, translation, and layout adjustments. The gallery also features AI-powered tools.
