JBL Live 3 review: The most innovative wireless earbuds I’ve ever seen
We were impressed with the noise cancelling performance. In standard active noise cancelling (ANC) mode, I found that rumbling background noises like trains or fans were nearly eliminated. It also did a good job of reducing noise in a coffee shop or when coworkers were chatting, but the JBL headphones are far from the best noise cancelling headphones from Bose, Apple, and Sony.
The headphones feature multipoint connectivity, adaptive active noise cancelling (ANC), transparency and awareness modes, spatial audio, at least 40 hours of playtime with ANC off, and an IP55 water resistance rating. With ANC on, a singleJBL Live 3 headphones battery charge gives about 10 hours of playtime.
JBL’s Live 3 buds also have an awareness mode, which works exactly as you’d expect, and I found it great for increasing the sense of space around you when you’re out for a walk or need to hear announcements at a train station.
All models of these headphones have very competitive battery
life, offering about 10 hours of playtime on a single charge with noise cancelling or ambient mode off. Battery life will decrease if you use ANC or turn up the volume, so be aware that JBL Live 3 headphones battery life specs are for reference only.
JBL Live 3: Sound Quality
The sound quality is impressive, especially if you’re upgrading from an older pair of headphones that didn’t sound detailed or clear enough. The headphones excel at adding punch to bass and clarity to lead vocals.
You can also customize the sound using the EQ and a handy selection of EQ presets – I found this helped make the bass more restrained, but it’s an interesting audio reproduction by default and works well for pop and rock music, including ABBA, Fleetwood Mac and U2.
In my use, this felt more than adequate, and the JBL Live 3 headphones batteryin the box is enough for over 30 hours of use. In fact, they automatically charge to full capacity every time you put them in the case, just like any pair of headphones, so unless you’re listening non-stop for hours on end, you’re unlikely to notice the battery draining. I’m hard-pressed to come up with too many faults with these headphones. They’re fully featured, sound great, and have noise cancellation good enough to block out airplane engines and coffee shop chatter. On top of that, they have an innovative screen on the charging case, personalized sound, and a great price.
They’re still not as cheap as some earbuds, and with their thicker casing, they may not be for everyone, but they’re a great mid-range earbud that meets all my requirements.

Overall, this speaker is great for social situations, and its light show and soundstage really stand out. The Anker Soundcore Flare 2 is a fairly compact cylindrical speaker. It sits vertically and has RGB light rings on the top and bottom. The lights are customizable and will flash rhythmically when music is playing, but you can also turn them off. The speaker is well-made. It looks sturdy and is mounted on a rubber base. The tight fabric around the speaker feels nice and doesn’t seem to tear easily. It’s even rated IPX7 for water resistance, and the sound of this speaker is fairly balanced and suitable for listening to a variety of music genres. Vocals and lead instruments come through the mix clearly. As with most small speakers, there’s not much boom in the bass, which is especially noticeable in EDM and hip-hop music. This is the case even with the BassUp feature turned on.

Every time HP launches a new Spectre x360, it jumps to the top of our best laptops list after I review it. It’s now called the OmniBook Ultra Flip, and this year’s model is not only just as good, it’s better.
It has a similar unique design to previous generations, with a better OLED display and a top-notch keyboard. Asus ZenBook Duo (2025) review: A uniquely tall laptop with double the display fun

Notably, the Duo’s keyboard is backlit, which makes typing in low-light environments much easier. Both displays are 14-inch touchscreens with a resolution of 2,880×1,800 and feature Asus Lumina OLED panels
When using both displays,Asus ZenBook Duo Laptop Battery life does take a hit, but that’s to be expected. I was able to get through a full workday using both screens without having to reach for a charger, which I think is a strength of the Duo. It might look a little unstable at first glance, but the stand is very sturdy and holds the laptop up well.
On the side of the laptop, there’s a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and two USB-C Thunderbolt ports (with DP and PD support). There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack. All in all, it’s an impressive I/O array for a laptop like this, and it allowed me to connect Cevaton’s dual-monitor laptop screen extender.
