Sturdy and stylish are the best words to describe the 2024 Razer Blade 14 chassis, which displays the sturdiness and premium look that Razer Blade laptops are known for. Another feature of this display is Windows Ink: it’s stylus compatible, although the x30 doesn’t come with one and Toshiba doesn’t promote it as an optional accessory for the device. I suppose Windows Ink would be useful if you need to annotate PDF files or take notes on shared documents, but the x30’s clamshell design isn’t ideal for handwriting. The lid only tilts about 130 degrees, so it’s not the most comfortable position for handwriting. Toshiba sells a convertible version of this business laptop, the Portégé X20W, which is better suited to a variety of usage modes and Windows Ink.

Consumer laptops are getting less and less bezel space these days, but for professional devices, that’s obviously less important. The x30’s bezels are fairly thick, about 10mm on the sides, 20mm on the top, and 30mm below the screen.

Both halves of this laptop are well-made and well-designed, with an all-aluminum body that looks seamless when closed and feels very solid when separated. In short, this is probably the sturdiest laptop I’ve ever used, which can only be a good thing. It feels great.

I can scroll up with two fingers to open my app drawer, or scroll down to see my notifications. The biggest problem with using a trackpad on Android is that there is no palm rejection, so whenever you type, you move the mouse or click places you don’t want to click, thus messing up what you are writing. I initially wanted to measure the  Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid Laptop Battery life by using Android for a full day, but ultimately I had to abandon the idea.
Considering the crazy concept we are going with here, Lenovo really did a great job with this device, and I love it. It’s not the most versatile laptop for work or travel, but it is a versatile machine that I can’t help but love.
