The Pixel Watch 3 finally gets the long-awaited larger size option, adding a 45mm to the existing 41mm. This is the size I’ve primarily used for the past few weeks, and I’m very happy with it. The 45mm Pixel Watch 3 isn’t significantly larger than the existing size, but it’s still plenty large enough to be the perfect size for those who aren’t satisfied with the smaller 41mm size. I also find that the Pixel Watch’s various curves help it feel smaller on the wrist. The larger display provides more space for apps, more room for text, and generally improves usability. The biggest drawback of the larger size is the strap. Of course, Google still uses its proprietary strap connector, but it’s now available in two sizes. You can’t use a 41mm Pixel Watch band with a 45mm band.
The Pixel camera app is now more powerful, with controls for photos and videos, and the overall control experience has been improved. I used to be a bit of a sucker for taking photos on my watch, mostly because the app was so slow. But now, it’s fast and incredibly intuitive. I’ve been impressed by the app’s usefulness and am eager to use it even more. The larger screen on the 45mm model makes it even better.
I’ve found that my habit of throwing my watch on the charger in the mornings is a bit excessive, at least for a 45mm watch. Leaving it there for about 30 minutes a day is enough to fully charge it. In my opinion, that’s ideal Google Pixel Watch 3 Batterylife for a smartwatch.
