Logitech released a new wireless all-in-one keyboard, the TK820, which immediately caught my eye.
To fully test the TK820, I connected it to my desktop PC and home theater PC (HTPC).
My daily desktop keyboard is the Logitech K800, which I really like. Given that I was very happy with the Logitech TK820 Keyboard Batterylife of the Logitech TK820 keyboard, I was a little disappointed that the TK820 didn’t come with the same rechargeable batteries. However, I think this is only a minor drawback, especially since the TK820 really lives up to Logitech’s claims, and a set of batteries can last up to 6 months.
Since I had previously connected a Logitech Unifying receiver to use with my daily keyboard, setting up the TK820 on my desktop PC was very easy. To connect the TK820 to the desktop PC, I simply connected it to the receiver.
The setup process on the HTPC was slightly more involved, as I needed to plug in the Unifying receiver and download Logitech’s SetPoint software. In both cases, I was up and running in just a few minutes. The TK820’s keyboard is slightly smaller than my everyday desktop keyboard, but it’s very comfortable to type on. The TK820 is equipped with Logitech’s rounded-edge Incurve keys and the Logitech PerfectStroke key system. The Logitech PerfectStroke key system is designed to give you the best combination of a laptop and a standalone keyboard. The TK820 uses four AA Logitech TK820 Keyboard Battery, which are pre-installed in the keyboard.
Regarding the battery information of the Logitech TK820 Wireless Keyboard, here are the key points to note:
1. Battery TypeThe TK820 keyboard is powered by two AAA batteries (No. 7 batteries), and does not usually support built-in rechargeable batteries.
2. Logitech TK820 Keyboard BatteryLifespanAccording to official data, the battery life of the TK820 can reach more than 12 months under normal use (about 2 hours a day), depending on the frequency of use and environmental conditions.
3. Replace the Logitech TK820 Keyboard BatteryStepsFlip the keyboard over and find the battery compartment cover (usually on the top or back). Slide or press the compartment cover buckle to open the battery compartment. Install two new AAA batteries according to the positive and negative polarity markings. Close the compartment cover until it snaps in.
4. Power saving tipsThe keyboard has an automatic sleep function and will enter low power mode when not used for a long time. Using alkaline batteries or high-quality rechargeable AAA batteries (such as NiMH batteries) can extend the replacement cycle.
5. Common problemsThe keyboard is unresponsive: First check whether the battery is installed correctly or the Logitech TK820 keyboard battery is low.
Unstable signal: Make sure there are no obstacles between the receiver (Unifying) and the keyboard, and the distance does not exceed 10 meters.
6. Environmental protection advicePlease recycle the discarded Logitech TK820 Keyboard Battery according to local regulations and avoid discarding them at will.
