There are two issues with this cordless vacuum: the price and the weight. But otherwise it’s close to being a perfect vacuum.
We were blown away by it when we tested it. It’s incredibly powerful – 262AW of suction power, compared to 230AW on the V15 – and that was immediately apparent when we tested it.
It has all the features of the V15 Detect, including the green laser and piezoelectric sensor, plus some new clever design touches. One of the best features is the crevice tool built into the top of the wand for instant handheld cleaning. But you also get all the extra accessories you need, including a hair screw tool and an articulating low-profile adapter that lets the Gen5 lie flat to get under the couch.
But all this tech means it’s Dyson’s heaviest cordless vacuum yet, at 3.5kg/7.7lbs. And then there’s the hefty price tag.

Smartwatches like the Fossil Gen 5 come equipped with a few battery modes to help prolong battery life, although the barebones time- only mode can only last “over a week.” Meanwhile, the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS can get up to 45 days in its time-only essential mode.
