According to sources, a listing from the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) indicates that the yet-to-be-released Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 has a rated capacity of 8160mAh. Without going into too much technical detail, the rated capacity is always lower than the typical capacity, and this figure should correspond to a typical capacity of up to 8500mAh.
For reference, the currentSamsung Galaxy Tab S8 batterytypically has a capacity of 8000mAh, so we expect a capacity increase of approximately 500mAh.
