Sony SRS-XV500 speaker review

The Sony SRS-XV500 is a wireless party speaker with built-in RGB lighting. Officially, it boasts a battery life of up to 25 hours. If that’s not enough for an all-night party, it also features two instrument inputs for connecting a microphone or even a guitar. It also comes with karaoke-friendly controls such as key switching, echo, and volume knobs for each input.
It boasts loud, rich sound, powerful EQ customization options, and a MEGA BASS button for taking bass to new heights. The Sony XV500 is excellent for playing videos and movies. Its volume is loud enough to fill your living room, and its powerful bass adds to the cinematic experience.

featuring customizable sound effects and RGB lighting. It follows in the footsteps of the brand’s previous party speakers, including the Sony SRS-XP500 and Sony SRS-XP700. It has similar features to the XP500 and offers similar performance in most situations, but the XV500 exhibits noticeably fewer audio-visual synchronization errors. Those who require more volume with less compression at maximum volume should consider the more powerful Sony SRS-XP700. That said, around the Sony XV500’s price point, the popular JBL PartyBox 310 still offers the loudest and cleanest sound, though their performance is otherwise very similar. It’s IPX4 certified for water resistance, so it can withstand splashes. This speaker has a bass-forward presence, ensuring that drums and bass lines will shake the floor when playing club tracks or hip-hop anthems. The bass isn’t as deep or extended as the similarly sized JBL PartyBox Club 120. However, it’s still relatively balanced across the frequency range, clearly reproducing the finest details of vocals and lead instruments.Sony SRS-XV500 Bluetooth Speaker Battery
Battery life is excellent. The manufacturer advertises 25 hours of playback, and while we didn’t reach that figure in our testing, we still managed a respectable 14 hours. We don’t know the specific conditions Sony uses to test the speaker’s battery life. However, many factors can affect battery life, including the use of the RGB lighting or MEGA BASS features, as well as volume levels. We tested at a volume of 16 (80 dB), with the MEGA BASS setting enabled and the lighting turned off. The speaker also has several features that help conserve battery life. An auto-off function turns the speaker off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Additionally, a “Stamina” mode disables the lighting and unnecessary sound features to maximize Sony SRS-XV500 Bluetooth Speaker Batterylife
