How to choose the right power bank

I talked about what kind of equipment the mobile power supply can provide power for. Then this time I will tell you how to choose the power bank that suits you! Some people will say that the larger the capacity of the mobile power supply, the better it is, and the more suitable it is? Is it really? But this is not the case. Because everyone’s needs are different, you only consider its capacity, have you considered its weight? Then I will provide a few for your reference when choosing a mobile power supply!

According to the individual

Demands and requirements, several general criteria need to be considered when choosing a mobile power supply:

a) Capacity

For example, if your mobile phone battery is 1500mAh, it is now 0%, then a 2200mAh mobile power bank can charge your mobile phone once. If your mobile phone battery is 3000mAh, it is now 0%, then the 2200mAh mobile power bank will not be able to fill your mobile phone, because the battery capacity of the mobile phone is higher than the mobile power bank. If you need a power bank that can charge your phone multiple times, you need a power bank with a larger capacity.

b) Number of outputs

1 output charges 1 device, 2 outputs charges 2 devices.

c) Output specifications

The 1A-1.5A output is generally used for smart phones, and the 1.5A-2.0A output is generally used for tablet computers.

2. How long does it take to charge the power bank for the first time and afterwards? How many times can the mobile power supply charge the mobile phone?

a) The mobile power bank is pre-charged and ready for use.

b) The charging time depends on the capacity of the mobile power supply, the remaining power of the mobile power supply and the power source.

Example:

-Powerbank: 13000mAh (0% remaining)

-Power/input: 1000mA plug-calculation

: 13000mAh/800mA = at least 16.25 hours

(Why 800mA? It is estimated that 20% of the power is consumed during the charging/discharging process)

c) A similar formula is suitable for calculating the number of times a mobile power bank can charge a mobile phone.

Example:

-Powerbank: 10000mAh (90% full)

-Phone Battery: 1500mAh -Calculation

: (10000mAh x 90% x 80%) / 1500mAh = up to 5 times

(Why 90%? Assuming that the mobile power supply is maintained in good working condition, it can save up to 90% of power)

(Why 80%? It is estimated that 20% of the power will be consumed during the charging/discharging process)

* Please note that this calculation is based on the normal state of the mobile power supply or device (mobile phone/tablet) that is not used during the charging process. A device that is running usually consumes power, so if your device is active during the charging process, the charging performance may not be as expected.

* The above calculation is a simple example for reference. The accuracy may vary.
